In Kabbalistic cosmology, the ultimate Godhead is Ein Sof (The Infinite), entirely unmanifest, boundless, and unknowable in its primordial essence. To manifest creation, the divine essence underwent self-contraction (Tzimtzum) and emanated ten divine attributes or vessels (Sefirot), through which the dynamic, revealed aspects of YHVH interact with the upper and lower worlds to sustain existence.
