In classical Christian theology, God is the uncaused Creator ex nihilo and subsistent Being itself (Ipsum Esse Subsistens), subsisting eternally as one divine essence in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Transcendent yet immanent, God exercises providential governance over all creation, reveals Himself through historical covenant, and effects cosmic redemption through the divine incarnation.
